Biography

Person.

Nadia Lee Cohen is a British artist, photographer and filmmaker whose staged images draw on cinema, advertising and the everyday settings of consumer culture. After growing up in the English countryside, she moved to Los Angeles, where the contrast between imagined Hollywood and its ordinary surroundings became a source for her work.

Her first book, Women, appeared in 2020 after six years of production. Hello, My Name Is used transformed self-portraits, while Julie Bullard was made with Martin Parr. Her commercial and music work includes projects with Beyoncé, A$AP Rocky and Aphex Twin, carrying her constructed characters between books, exhibitions and popular media.
