Catalogue note

A direct Halle Berry autograph as Jinx from Rittenhouse’s Full Bleed programme. Preserved research identifies it as her third distinct certified Bond autograph. Its significance combines the performer, character and card design; the limited-production category does not establish historical rarity.

Scarcity: Rittenhouse’s Very Limited band is a range, not an exact serialised print run.

Authentication: Reverse identifies Halle Berry as Jinx in Die Another Day and states the card is a Limited Edition Autograph Card personally signed by Halle Berry. Official Rittenhouse/EON/Danjaq licensed material.

Distribution: Premium Rittenhouse Full Bleed autograph issue.

Historical context: Berry is an Academy Award-winning leading actress. Jinx is one of the most recognisable characters of the Brosnan Bond era; her beach entrance in Die Another Day was designed as a callback to Honey Ryder’s iconic entrance in Dr. No.

Card genealogy: Berry appeared on Bond trading cards in Rittenhouse’s 2002 Die Another Day release but did not sign for that set. Her first verified certified autograph trading card arrived in 2012 Rittenhouse James Bond 50th Anniversary Series 2, A207, Halle Berry as Jinx, classified Extremely Limited (100–200). Specialist sources identify the 2012 Bond cards as Berry’s first certified autograph cards after planned X-Men/Catwoman autograph appearances failed to materialise. Her second Rittenhouse Bond certified autograph was WA49 in 2014 James Bond Archives, Women of Bond style, Extremely Limited. This 2015 Full Bleed is therefore her third distinct certified Bond autograph card. Contemporary 2015 collecting coverage singled it out as one of five Bond cards collectors should own and noted that Berry then appeared on only three different certified autograph cards.

Uncertainties: The copyright line on reverse reads ©1962–2012 but the card belongs to the 2015 set. Exact count within the 200–300 band is unknown. Fine curved reverse mark may be a loose fibre rather than damage. Numerical grade not assigned.

Legacy record ID: Trading Card Archive Record #004

Why this object matters

The direct Berry signature and Jinx portrayal provide an outstanding Bond object. Her third distinct certified autograph does not inherit first-issue significance, and the outdated Gold statement in the descriptive summary must be removed.

Evidence limits: No new physical inspection or collation was performed. Copy-specific conclusions remain limited to the retained catalogue and accession evidence.

Historical context

Berry is an Academy Award-winning leading actress. Jinx is one of the most recognisable characters of the Brosnan Bond era; her beach entrance in Die Another Day was designed as a callback to Honey Ryder’s iconic entrance in Dr. No.

Preservation rationale

Combines a major film star and Academy Award winner, a culturally recognisable Bond role, a direct lifetime autograph and an established premium Rittenhouse design language.

Uncertainties

  • The copyright line on reverse reads ©1962–2012 but the card belongs to the 2015 set. Exact count within the 200–300 band is unknown. Fine curved reverse mark may be a loose fibre rather than damage. Numerical grade not assigned.
