Catalogue note
Christmas Day 1937 issue of Picturegoer Weekly, No. 344 (New Series), Vol. 7, with Deanna Durbin on a snowy colour cover and the teaser “Secrets of Disney’s Million-dollar Fairy-Tale”. Exact-issue specialist documentation identifies the associated feature as a two-page report on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, appearing only four days after the film’s Hollywood world premiere. The supplied interior spread adds a substantial film-craft feature on seasonal make-up by London Film Productions expert Guy Pearce and a facsimile holiday message from Claudette Colbert, while the rear promotes Picturegoer’s own 100-page Xmas Annual.
