Catalogue note
Original British Picturegoer Weekly No. 336 (New Series), Vol. 7, dated 30 October 1937, with Ronald Colman and Madeleine Carroll on the colour cover in royal costume associated with The Prisoner of Zenda. The supplied interior spread, “This Crazy Film Business”, is a dense contemporary gossip and production-news page touching on stars, changing projects, studio working practices and film-industry rumours. A particularly valuable image shows Merle Oberon with Laurence Olivier and director Tim Whelan on the set of The Divorce of Lady X, then still in production and released the following year.
