Catalogue note
Original triangular flyer/order form for The Spirit of Raindance at Bagleys Film Studios & Site, King's Cross, on Friday 7 July 1995, 9pm–6am. The reverse states that Double Dipped joined forces with Perpetual Dawn, described as an original Raindance co-creator, to give the Raindance massive a chance to reunite and re-experience the Spirit of Raindance. The object combines a consciously heritage-focused event concept with a large national ticket network, postal discount ordering and membership infrastructure.
Advertised programme: No DJ/MC line-up is printed. The reverse describes a reunion and re-experience of the Spirit of Raindance and provides ticket/postal infrastructure.
Graphic-design significance: The triangular format is integral to the identity. The face combines sky/cloud imagery, a pyramid, globe, smiley, peace symbol, heart, speakers, clock and gloved hands around 'The Spirit of RAINDANCE'. The form echoes the pyramid motif. No designer credit securely established.
Historical context: Raindance was a foundational UK rave identity, and by 1995 its name could already function as a heritage/reunion brand. Independent venue histories record Spirit of Raindance at Bagleys in summer 1995. TMR already holds Double Dipped — The Secret Garden from 27 August 1995, making this July collaboration an earlier point in the same Bagleys/promoter ecology.
Production note: Full-colour illustrated face with monochrome information/order-form reverse on card stock; exact printing process and stock not established.
Condition note: Very Good appearance, ungraded. Light edge/corner wear and handling, minor rubbing and small local marks. Triangular points substantially intact and both faces highly legible; no major tears, heavy folds or significant paper loss.
Confidence / uncertainty: Exact date, hours, venue and reunion wording are physically verified. The description of Perpetual Dawn as an 'original Raindance co-creator' is preserved as promoter testimony. No performer line-up is printed, so none is reconstructed. Ticket prices are £20 plus booking fee generally and £15 if ordered by post or purchased direct from Double Dipped.
