Catalogue note

Original orange-stock RuffAge weekly flyer for Room 101, Pepper Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme. DJ Dream and special guests are billed to play the hardcore selection every Saturday, with £3/£4 admission and 9:30pm–2am hours. Unlike the separate dated 8 May 1993 RuffAge flyer, this variant replaces the live-act panel with the manifesto-like line 'RuffAge=Complete Chaotic Madness' and a claim to be the first major Saturday night since Shelley's.

Advertised programme: DJ Dream and special guests play the 'HARDCORE selection' every Saturday.

Graphic-design significance: Uses the same distinctive RuffAge visual identity as the dated campaign variant: oversized custom wordmark, cartoon figure, radiating geometric forms and circuit-like linear decoration. The orange stock materially differentiates this undated weekly version. The explicit 'Flyer by the Noyce!' credit is preserved without expanding the designer identity beyond the printed evidence.

Historical context: Shelley's Laserdome in Longton was a major early-1990s Staffordshire rave venue; specialist scene history records its Amnesia House Saturday hardcore run and final night on Saturday 31 October 1992. This RuffAge flyer explicitly invokes that memory with 'the first top saturday night since Shelley's!!', providing direct primary evidence of how a later local promoter positioned itself within the post-Shelley's Staffordshire nightlife landscape. Room 101 is independently documented as an active Newcastle-under-Lyme dance venue in 1993.

Production note: Monochrome black print on orange uncoated paper or light card; exact printing process and stock not established.

Condition note: Very Good appearance, ungraded. Light edge/corner handling and minor surface marks. Two small puncture/staple-type holes along the left edge, with corresponding marks visible on the blank reverse. Tiny isolated spot/marking to the reverse. Strong, complete black printing; no major tears, losses, writing or significant staining visible.

Confidence / uncertainty: The flyer itself is undated. Late 1992–1993 is a provisional period attribution, not a verified issue date. The relationship to Shelley's is physically explicit promoter copy and must not be treated as objective proof that RuffAge was literally the first or best successor Saturday night. The Noyce credit and DJ Dream stage name are preserved exactly; no legal identities are inferred.
