Pure Evil

Pure Evil is the name used by British artist Charles Uzzell Edwards, whose work spans street art, printmaking and electronic music. Born in South Wales, he studied fashion and graphics in London before moving to California, where he designed for the clothing label Anarchic Adjustment and became involved in the West Coast’s street and music cultures.

After returning to Britain, he developed the fanged rabbit imagery associated with his street work. His practice uses spray paint, stencils, screenprinting, neon and other materials, moving between urban walls and galleries. He has exhibited internationally and operates galleries in London that also present work by other independent artists.
