Matheus Lopes

Matheus Lopes, also credited as Mat Lopes, is a Brazilian comics colourist who has worked regularly in the industry since 2012. His credits include Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham, alongside work across major American comics publishers.

With writer Si Spurrier and artist Matías Bergara, he co-created Step by Bloody Step, a fantasy narrative told without dialogue or captions. Following a girl and her armoured guardian through an unfamiliar world, the series gives colour a central role in communicating atmosphere, place and changes in the story.
