Catalogue note

Original first-print Cover C of Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham #1, Rafael Grampá's DC Black Label 'Book One', released for Batman Day 2023. This regular $6.99 variant pairs Frank Miller's Batman drawing with Jock on the finished cover treatment. The issue opens Grampá's four-part alternate-Gotham vision and introduces Crytoon, a new villain in that continuity. A later second printing of #1 was issued in December 2023, so this copy preserves the original first-print state before the single-issue bibliography branched.

Writer: Rafael Grampá

Artist: Rafael Grampá; Matheus Lopes (colors); John Workman (letters)

Cover: Frank Miller with Jock

Edition: Cover C · Frank Miller & Jock variant · original first printing

Why this object matters

The Miller/Jock cover provides a specific artist dialogue around Grampá’s alternate Gotham launch. It is a strong companion to the held Noir version, but a new villain and first printing do not justify near-Gold importance for this regular variant.

Evidence limits: Complete under standing TMR accession rule. No missing issued component is reported; comic remains enclosed in its Collect Forever Soft Slab.
