Jordie Bellaire is a comics colourist and writer. Her colour work includes Vision, Pretty Deadly, Injection, They’re Not Like Us and Autumnlands, as well as stories featuring Batman, Deadpool, Moon Knight and Hawkeye.
She has received Eisner recognition for her colouring and has also developed work as a writer, co-creating Redlands with artist Vanesa R. Del Rey. In her own account of the craft, Bellaire describes colour as an active part of storytelling: a way to establish the reader’s emotional response and communicate a fictional world, rather than simply fill in the drawing.
