Catalogue note
Original first-print Frank Miller variant of Blade #1, Legacy #29, launching Bryan Edward Hill and Elena Casagrande's 2023 ten-issue Blade run. The issue begins the Mother of Evil storyline and introduces the Adana; specialist key indexing also identifies the first appearance of Rotha. This first printing was followed by a confirmed second printing on 30 August 2023. The object preserves the regular Miller cover, not the separate 1:100 Miller virgin incentive.
Why this object matters
The Hill/Casagrande Blade launch and Miller cover provide meaningful contemporary character and artist evidence. New antagonists and a later reprint distinguish the issue bibliographically, but do not establish exceptional cultural standing. Remove Gold and reduce to 7.8.
Evidence limits: Complete under the standing TMR completeness rule; no missing issued component has been reported. The enclosure prevents direct page-by-page verification.
