Biography
Person.
Emma Cook is a British fashion designer whose womenswear combines graphic prints with accessible garment shapes. A Central Saint Martins graduate, she developed a London label known for imaginative surface imagery, including animals, flowers and surreal arrangements of familiar motifs.
Her Spring 2004 collection drew on Constructivism, early ideas of the future and 1920s design, translating those references into cut-out details and printed jersey dresses. Later collections continued the interplay between ordinary wardrobe forms and unusual imagery; her Resort 2014 work, for example, used jungle motifs within a restrained colour palette.
