Gareth Pugh is a British fashion designer from Sunderland whose work experiments with exaggerated volume, unusual materials and silhouettes that reshape the body. He graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2003 and made his London Fashion Week debut with Fashion East in 2005.
His practice includes runway collections, performance costume and fashion film, with collaborations involving SHOWstudio, Nick Knight and filmmaker Ruth Hogben. Materials such as PVC and rubber contribute to his sculptural approach. He received the ANDAM award in 2008 and has presented work at institutions including the Victoria and Albert Museum.
