Biography
Person.
Jeff Banks is a British fashion designer whose career connects clothing design, high-street retail and television. He opened his first shop in 1964, presented collections in London and Paris during the early 1970s and helped establish the Warehouse retail business in 1976.
Banks brought fashion to a wider television audience through the BBC’s The Clothes Show and the associated Clothes Show Live event, launched in 1989. His name has also appeared across menswear, accessories, eyewear and home products. Together, these activities made him a public interpreter of fashion as well as a designer working within the clothing industry.
