Steve Taylor

Steve Taylor is a music journalist and editor associated with the early years of The Face. He contributed to the magazine from 1980 and served as an associate editor during its development under Nick Logan. His writing also appeared in Smash Hits and Melody Maker, placing him within the music press that connected punk, new pop and emerging style culture.

Taylor later contributed recollections to Paul Gorman's history The Story of The Face. His account of its modest working conditions and Logan's editorial commitment provides first-hand evidence of how an independent magazine developed its distinctive cultural reach.
