Dirk Seiden Schwan is a German photographer whose career has developed in Paris. After working as a photographer’s assistant, he established an editorial practice that included commissions for Nylon, Crash and Self Service. His commercial work has also included photography for the skateboarding brand Etnies.
Alongside fashion and magazine work, he makes photographs for exhibition. His 2024 Paris exhibition Moving brought together images made across nearly two decades, including landscapes, architecture and figures. The exhibition considered how photographic fragments, motion and the passage of time shape the experience of looking and remembering.
