Biography
Person.
Felix Howard is a British music publisher, songwriter and former model whose unusual career connects the visual culture of 1980s London directly with later pop songwriting and A&R. As a child he became one of the most memorable faces of Ray Petri and Jamie Morgan’s Buffalo movement, appearing on the March 1985 cover of The Face in the celebrated “Killer” image: a pre-teen figure styled with the hard, street-derived attitude that made Buffalo a challenge to conventional fashion imagery.
Howard subsequently appeared in music videos before moving behind the scenes in the music business. As a songwriter he worked with artists including Amy Winehouse, Sia and Sugababes, co-writing material on the latter’s early recordings, and later held senior A&R and publishing roles, signing and developing artists across British pop and independent music.
