Joe Sabino is a comics letterer whose Marvel work began with Runaways, volume three, issue 12. Raised in New Jersey, he worked in Marvel's production department before learning lettering with Chris Eliopoulos's studio Virtual Calligraphy, the source of the VC prefix in his credits.
His lettering appears in series including Thor: God of Thunder, Spider-Man/Deadpool, Hawkeye, Inferno and Thunderbolts. In Marvel's 2022 interview, Sabino described moving from a temporary production role into specialist lettering work, adding dialogue, captions and sound effects to comics pages.
