Éric Nehr is a photographer born in 1964 who studied at Saint-Luc in Tournai and the École des Arts de l’Image in Brussels. His portrait practice examines ideas of otherness and the social conventions through which bodies are judged beautiful or normal.
In 2024 he received the Photographie & Philosophie prize for Il corpo nella lotta, a series questioning boundaries between bodily perfection and difference. Alongside this artistic work, his editorial photography has appeared in publications including Madame Figaro and Mastermind, connecting portraiture with fashion and contemporary cultural subjects.
