Luther Vandross (1951–2005) was an American singer, songwriter, arranger and producer whose career ranged from session work to international success as a solo artist. His early collaborations included David Bowie's Young Americans, on which he sang and contributed the song that became Fascination.
Never Too Much (1981) established his solo career, combining original songs with interpretations such as A House Is Not a Home.
