Kano is the recording name of Kane Robinson, a rapper and actor from East Ham in London. He emerged through N.A.S.T.Y. Crew and the pirate-radio grime scene, releasing P's and Q's before his debut album Home Sweet Home in 2005. Later albums include Made in the Manor and Hoodies All Summer.
His writing frequently returns to neighbourhood, memory and the pressures facing young Londoners. He has described his music and acting choices as sharing an interest in underrepresented communities and the city where he grew up.
