Mike Dorey

Mike Dorey is a British comics artist whose work spans war stories, science fiction and adventure. His early characters include Cadman the Fighting Coward, followed by Hellman of Hammer Force in Action. His drawing is characterised by strong contrasts, dense textures and attention to historical detail.

For 2000 AD he drew stories including Invasion!, Ro-Busters, M.A.C.H. Zero and Rogue Trooper. He also worked on Computer Warrior in the revived Eagle and Victor Drago in Tornado. Later collaborations with Garth Ennis returned him to Hellman, connecting new stories with the confrontational British comics of the 1970s.
