Simon Furman

Simon Furman is a British comics writer particularly associated with Transformers and Marvel UK. His work helped develop the Transformers stories beyond their origins as a toy tie-in, and he later contributed to versions published by Dreamwave and IDW. His other Marvel UK credits include Action Force, Thundercats and Doctor Who Magazine.

Furman also helped create Death’s Head and Dragon’s Claws. His longstanding collaboration with artist Geoff Senior continued in To the Death, while later projects include Astrobots. His career connects British weekly comics, original science-fiction characters and the international development of licensed properties.
