Catalogue note
Fifth issue of Delirium, the British independent reference publication devoted to Italian cult and exploitation cinema. Issue 5 narrows its year-by-year survey to Italian cinema of 1982 and advertises reviews and credits for 50 films, alongside material on Dario Argento, Sabrina Siani, special-effects artist Sergio Stivaletti, Fatal Frames and Italian influences on From Dusk Till Dawn. The full-colour wrappers show the series at its most polished small-press stage. The rear reproduces German artwork for Caligula und Messalina, illustrating the alternate-title, territorial-release and pseudonym problems that publications such as Delirium were created to untangle before searchable online film databases became standard.
Why this object matters
The 1982 survey and terminal issue preserve the culmination of Delirium's small-press form and ongoing international-title research. Final-issue status strengthens the complete sequence but does not independently establish a landmark publication warranting Gold.
Evidence limits: Complete under the standing TMR completeness rule. No missing pages, inserts, supplements or other issued components have been reported; no separate issued extra is evidenced by the supplied photographs.
