Raveworld — Fascination

Catalogue note

Original large fold-out Raveworld flyer/programme for Fascination at the Tasco Warehouse, 138–140 Nathan Way, Plumstead, on Saturday 26 September 1992. The object presents the night as a “self expression experience”, advertises a main DJ programme including Colin Dale, Ellis Dee, LTJ Bukem, Randall, Devious D, Darren Jay, Easy D, Tribal II, Physics and Peshay, and a separate Emotional Rescue Room. Its information panels document attractions, freebies, security, transport, ticketing, future Raveworld events and production claims. Specialist archival documentation attributes the striking fluorescent cosmic artwork to Junior Tomlin. A surviving Randall recording from the same night creates a particularly valuable print-to-sound documentary link.

Advertised programme: Main DJ programme: Colin Dale, Ellis Dee, LTJ Bukem, Randall, Devious D, Darren Jay, Easy D, Tribal II, Physics, Peshay. Emotional Rescue Room: JBL, Jason B, Jo Public, Buzzy Barrett, Danny C, Unity, Warlock, KRS, Jack Horner. MC Papa P.

Graphic-design significance: Distinctive fluorescent green-and-black cosmic/face artwork attributed by specialist archival documentation to Junior Tomlin, strengthening TMR’s sequence of his early-1990s rave graphic work.

Historical context: The flyer documents Raveworld’s Fascination at Tasco Warehouse on 26 September 1992. Rave Archive UK preserves a Randall recording from the night, creating a direct surviving relationship between printed promotional ephemera and recorded sound from the same event.

Condition note: Heavily handled surviving copy with strong historic fold lines, extensive creasing, edge and corner wear, small tears/splits and abrasions, surface scuffing and local paper loss. Printed information remains substantially legible and the fluorescent green/black front remains visually strong.

Confidence / uncertainty: Event/date/venue and advertised programme are supported by the physical object. Junior Tomlin artwork is independently supported by Rave Archive UK’s exact-event catalogue entry. Advertised performers are preserved as the printed programme rather than proof that every billed act appeared.
