Catalogue note

Original double-sided flyer for Fibre Optic's 'Escape Reality' event at Quest, Broad Street, Wolverhampton, on 12 June 1993. The event bills Ratty, Carl Cox, Easygroove, Fallout and Tango with MC Ribbs and Robbie Dee. The reverse describes the night as 'the further adventures of fibreoptic at quest' and refers to Fibre Optic's previous Quest visit on 20 February 1993; surviving specialist tape archives preserve several sets from the exact 12 June event.

Advertised programme: Ratty; Carl Cox; Easygroove; Fallout; Tango; MC Ribbs; MC Robbie Dee.

Graphic-design significance: The front uses a blue-black fractal vortex framed by black space, paired with the large white 'fibre OPTIC' identity and the phrase 'ESCAPE REALITY WITH THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF'. The clean, almost minimal reverse sharply contrasts with the psychedelic front, relying on outlined performer names and simple black typography. No named designer credit is visible.

Historical context: MixesDB independently preserves Carl Cox, Ratty, Fallout and Tango sets from Fibre Optic at Quest on 12 June 1993 and identifies the venue as Paloma's, Wolverhampton. The flyer itself references Fibre Optic's earlier visit to Quest on 20 February 1993, which is also preserved in specialist tape archives. This places the object within a recurring 1993 Fibre Optic / Quest series that culminated later in the summer with the 28 August End of Summer Spectacular already being accessioned in TMR.

Production note: Full-colour psychedelic front with black-and-white event-information reverse on coated paper/card stock; exact printing process and stock weight not established.

Condition note: Very Good appearance, ungraded. Light edge/corner handling and minor surface wear, with several tiny pin/staple-type punctures near the upper and side margins. The front remains strongly coloured and the reverse is clean and fully legible. No major tears or paper loss visible.

Confidence / uncertainty: The exact event date, hours, printed Quest/Broad Street venue wording, Ratty / Carl Cox / Easygroove / Fallout / Tango line-up, MC credits, admission and information lines are physically verified. Paloma's is a specialist-supported venue identification and is not printed on the flyer. The previous visit date 20.2.93 is physically printed in the warning text; its line-up is not inferred here beyond external specialist evidence. Tango and MC Ribbs remain printed names without new person-authority creation.
