Event
2 × 2 Promotions presents The Awakening (founding venture as printed): new separately held copy of same illustrated issue as TMR-000931
Promoter
2 × 2 Promotions (existing authority). Reverse says EST 1990 and calls this the founding venture in 1991; do not force these labels into an unverified incorporation/event chronology.
Venue
East of England International Ice Rink
Location
Bretton, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire; precise 1991 postal address not shown.
Advertised hours
9pm Friday 1 November 1991 to 8am Saturday 2 November; eleven advertised hours.
Original admission / price
£17 in advance plus unspecified booking fee. Original ticket outlets and regional agents printed on reverse; no door price established. 1:30am last entry even with ticket.
Designer
Unknown. Small hand-drawn signature-like mark lower-right of fantasy illustration cannot be deciphered or assigned to a person; no printed agency/print-house credit.
Format
Owner describes this as an original A4 POSTER; it is a separate owner-held two-sided portrait printed sheet. Existing TMR-000931 describes its copy as a FLYER, but dimensions are unmeasured and independent A4-described flyers of this exact design exist. Same artwork and printed programme: these labels alone do NOT prove a new print state, different paper format or edition. Catalogue this as second PHYSICAL copy only, not another event or new poster edition.
Dimensions
Owner-reported A4 nominal 210×297 mm; this sheet not measured. Earlier TMR-000931 dimensions also unmeasured; no proven measured size difference.
Orientation
Portrait both faces, one two-sided sheet, no fold-out panels.
Original / reproduction
High-confidence genuine period-original 1991 issue, second held physical copy as reported by owner. Neither original print run nor a distinct A4-only poster variant has been independently established.
Edition / variant
Same advertised 1 November 1991 Awakening design/printing issue as TMR-000931: identical mountain/eyes/waterfall image, event date, bill, promoter, reverse layout. Owner distinguishes the physical sheets, but no demonstrated alternative edition, colourway, plate setting or format.
Condition
Good to Very Good, provisional from two photographs, with light original crease/rubbing and minor edge handling.
Completeness
One complete-appearing, separate owner-held original printed sheet; both front and back present. No original detachable voucher, envelope or ticket evidenced. Do not merge either view with the existing object TMR-000931.

Catalogue note

Original owner-reported A4 double-sided POSTER of 2 × 2 Promotions' The Awakening, Friday 1 November 1991 at East of England International Ice Rink, Bretton, Peterborough (9pm–8am). It reproduces exactly the fantasy eyes, sky, mountains and waterfall front and the important DJ/MC/Bizarre Inc live programme, £17 ticket information, founding-event and promoter EST 1990 wording already held in TMR-000931. The owner identifies the newly photographed sheet as a separately held poster, while the existing object is catalogued as a flyer. The earlier flyer was unmeasured and this issue also circulates described as A4 flyer, so the nomenclature is NOT evidence of a different size, print run, issue or printing. Preserve as a second individual physical copy of the SAME known original issue, with separate accession identity, photography, condition and clear cross-reference TMR-000931; no inflated rarity or market value.

Advertised programme: Original advertised DJs: JUMPING JACK FROST; EVIL EDDIE RICHARDS; MICKEY FINN; SIMON 'BASS' SMITH; NIPPER; DOC SCOTT; D.J. SS; DOC REMEDE; MASTER BLEEP. 'MASTERS OF THE RINK' printed but role unresolved. MCs HARDCORE GENERAL and LENNI. Live PA printed 'BIZZARE INC' (Bizarre Inc), promoted with 'Such a feeling'. These are bookings, not independently verified performances.

Graphic-design significance: Visionary fantasy/altered-consciousness imagery of huge translucent eyes above sunset clouds, violet peaks, central waterfall and green hills; restrained black serif title THE AWAKENING. Reverse plain black and white graphic scheduling, ticketing and promotional text. The design is culturally important but already documented by first held copy TMR-000931; the new sheet adds preservation redundancy and future copy comparison rather than a new creative design.

Historical context: The Awakening was advertised on 1 November 1991 as the founding rave of 2 × 2 Promotions at the Peterborough East of England Ice Rink. The original lists early house/hardcore DJs alongside a Bizarre Inc live PA billed 'Such a feeling', which was a current UK chart hit at No. 13 in autumn 1991 according to Official Charts. Venue promotion claims 50K sound, 30,000 square feet floor, lasers and chillout services, none independently certified. TMR-000931 already contains event research, people/organisation linkage and original front/back images. The present sheet is a SECOND owner's physical object, not a new historic event or proven different printing despite the 'poster' rather than 'flyer' description.

Production note: Colour fantasy illustration on front, mainly black-on-pale event programme and retailer directory on reverse. Stock, printer, impression/run and printing method unknown.

Condition note: The present front retains the colour illustration and white borders with minor edge/corner wear, slight rubbing, scattered faint handling impressions and local shallow fold/crease lines. Information reverse shows modest corner wear, slight paper waviness/creases, mild surface marks and intact text. No large tear, paper detachment or missing printed section is visible. Both objects need in-hand measurement/copy comparison before asserting relative physical condition or any separate printing. The new copy should not be assumed better, worse, larger, or smaller than TMR-000931 solely from photography.

Confidence / uncertainty: Printed date, venue, tariff, line-up, founding-venture claim and EST 1990 all verified from the present copy, matching TMR-000931. Existing seven significant People identities and the 2x2, rink and Bizarre Inc organisation authorities reused. New object physically distinct per owner; same print issue and artwork are verified, but format/printing difference is NOT. Artwork maker/edition/run and actual DJ/PA appearance unknown. No new authorities proposed.
