IDEA
IDEA grew from David Owen and Angela Hill’s work dealing in rare and out-of-print visual books into an independent publishing programme. IDEA Books Ltd was incorporated in 2012, and the project has become closely associated with fashion, photography, youth culture and short-run artist publications.
Why it matters
IDEA is relevant to TMR because it sits directly between collecting culture and publishing: it treats the visual book both as archival object and as a contemporary edition.
