Kevin Davies

Kevin Davies is a British photographer known for portraits of musicians, artists and writers. He studied sculpture at Winchester School of Art, where photographing his own work helped direct him towards photography. His editorial clients have included i-D, The Face, Arena and Tatler.

His subjects include David Bowie, Grace Jones, Jenny Saville, Frank Auerbach and Martin Amis. Davies often photographs people in their own surroundings, using rooms and possessions as part of a portrait. A long friendship with milliner Philip Treacy led to a Phaidon book documenting Treacy's work over two decades.
