Catalogue note
Self-curated visual history of Kate Moss and a concentrated survey of the photographers and design language that shaped 1990s–2000s fashion culture. Created with Fabien Baron, Jess Hallett and Jefferson Hack.
Credit / attribution note: Culturally significant self-curated Kate Moss retrospective with Fabien Baron, Jess Hallett and Jefferson Hack and an eight-cover photography programme, but the exact TMR copy is a later seventh impression of the first edition rather than a 2012 first printing. Exact-edition significance therefore remains just below Gold Star threshold.
Edition / bibliographic note: Exact cover verified from photographed eight-cover key as the David Sims variant. Printer’s key shows 10 9 8 7, so this is not a 2012 first printing; it is a later seventh impression of the first edition. Rizzoli page counts conflict (448 vs 488), preserved as a bibliographic discrepancy.
Condition note: Tipped-on front image has visible light scratches/scuffs and modest edge wear; black cloth shows light lint/fibres and a small pale rear mark. Sampled interior clean.
Preserved discrepancies / uncertainties: Colophon says “FIRST EDITION ISSUED IN A RUN OF EIGHT COVERS” but printer’s key is 10 9 8 7 with date sequence 2015 2016 2017. Catalogue as first edition, later impression; seventh printing indicated by lowest surviving number 7. Do not assign a precise reprint year without further evidence. | Rizzoli’s current catalogue gives 448 pages; original 2012 announcement gave 488 pages / 400 colour and B&W photographs. Preserve both page-count statements.
Research status: Core ISBN, Rizzoli 2012 edition data and eight-cover release independently revalidated 15 Aug 2026. The photographed printer's key remains authoritative for this later seventh impression; Rizzoli's conflicting 448-page and original 488-page statements remain preserved.

Why this object matters
Moss's self-curated visual history and its Baron/Hallett/Hack collaboration provide outstanding fashion-photography reference value. The seventh printing and David Sims cover are recorded precisely; neither supplies an additional original-publication or limited-edition claim.
Evidence limits: No new physical inspection or collation was performed. Copy-specific conclusions remain limited to the retained catalogue and accession evidence.
Score and assessment method
Archive Importance: 8.8 / 10.
