Catalogue note

Scarcity: Standard unnumbered Exciting Stars insert. Specialist checklists identify a 10-card Exciting Stars set and report insertion at approximately 1:7 packs; no finite print run is stated.
Historical context: Upper Deck launched Fleer Throwbacks ’89 Marvel Edition on e-Pack on 21 February 2024, using the visual language of the 1989 Fleer baseball design. The product's base set was described by Upper Deck as digital, while Exciting Stars was one of the insert groups. Specialist checklists identify ES-7 as Psylocke. The physical card carries ©2023 UDC, which is preserved separately from the verified 2024 release year.
Uncertainties: Exact card-front illustrator/source artwork credit has not been established. No numeric condition grade assigned. Market value is only a provisional low-value range because reliable completed-sale evidence was not established.
Why this object matters
The Exciting Stars Psylocke insert deliberately transfers vintage baseball-card language to Marvel imagery. That specific design-history reference and the Betsy/Kwannon comparison justify a modest uplift from supporting importance.
Evidence limits: No new physical inspection or collation was performed. Copy-specific conclusions remain limited to the retained catalogue and accession evidence.

Preservation rationale
Documents the reuse of late-1980s Fleer sports-card graphic language for 2020s Marvel non-sport collecting, while also preserving an inexpensive physical node linking Psylocke/Betsy Braddock, the X-Men and British Marvel history.
