i-D No. 241, The Studio Issue, March 2004, with Linda Evangelista photographed by Tesh and styled by Edward Enninful. The issue is an especially strong early-2000s i-D fashion object: i-D later singled this cover out in retrospectives of Enninful's most iconic work for the magazine. The issue also contains a substantial Linda Evangelista fashion editorial alongside Karl Lagerfeld, Marilyn Manson and other fashion/culture material.
Why this object matters
The Tesh/Enninful Evangelista cover and substantial editorial, later recognised in i-D’s own retrospective, give the exact issue outstanding photographic relevance. Retain 8.9 without equating publisher self-selection with independent institutional acquisition.
