Catalogue note
Early UK edition of VICE, locally numbered Volume 1 Number 4. The physical copy carries the British free-distribution numbering and a UK Premier Asia rear-cover advertisement for Ichi the Killer. VICE's primary archive identifies the corresponding global Volume 10 Issue 4 content as The Bullshit Issue, with exact issue-level contributions independently located for Jamie-James Medina and Neil Thomson. The regional numbering is bibliographically important because local Volume 1 sequences in different countries can refer to entirely different global issues.
Why this object matters
The early UK regional numbering and original local advertising preserve specific evidence of VICE’s international distribution model. The Bullshit package retains outstanding 8.5 contextual value; local Volume 1 is not mistaken for VICE’s original founding year.
Evidence limits: Complete under the standing TMR completeness rule; all pages/components are presumed present unless the collection owner states otherwise. No missing issued supplement, insert, wrap, poster, CD or other component has been reported for this copy.
