Catalogue note

Original 1993 double-sided flyer for Inter Space Promotions’ Ravealation at The Dome, Southall Lane, Hounslow. The reverse explicitly invites ravers to the “launch party” and documents a major early-1990s hardcore/early-jungle DJ bill, ticketing network, security policy, sound and lighting attractions, directions and the next planned event. The science-fiction/biomechanical front artwork is signed by Junior Tomlin, whose airbrushed futurism became one of the defining visual languages of UK rave culture.

Advertised programme: Main Arena: Swann-E; Jumping Jack Frost; Mickey Finn; Devious “D”; Ellis “D”; Donovan Bad Boy Smith. Chill-out Zone: Jason “B”; Peter Doyle; Hughie; Matt Maurice. MCs: Chalkie White; MC Smurf.

Historical context: Advertised as Inter Space Promotions’ launch party, the event sells motorway access and a new venue alongside its bill. A separate chill-out programme, on-site paramedics, coded tickets and a regional record-shop network document how the promoter organised a night for travelling audiences. The printed promise of a further 31 July event establishes an intention, not proof that the later event took place.

Further sources

Event details are drawn from the held object and the qualified catalogue research above. A printed bill establishes an advertised booking, not confirmation that a performer appeared.

Why this object matters

Ravealation's explicit launch invitation, programme and operational information preserve a specific promoter's entry into the hardcore/early-jungle network. Tomlin's signed image supports threshold Gold; the available evidence does not establish the additional landmark distinction implied by 9.2.

Evidence limits: No new physical inspection or collation was performed. Copy-specific conclusions remain limited to the retained catalogue and accession evidence.
