Catalogue note

The Face Vol. 2 No. 55, April 1993, with junior geisha Hana Chan photographed by Norbert Schoerner. The issue is built around a substantial 'Japan's New Generation' feature describing the shinjinrui emerging from post-bubble corporate Japan, while elsewhere New Order discuss life after Factory immediately before the release of Republic, their first album following Factory Records' demise. Saint Etienne trace the lineage of the pre-Sgt. Pepper girl-group sound, Bruce Sterling writes on virtual warfare and cyberspace, Chris Isaak is profiled, and fashion stories are photographed by Jürgen Teller and Mario Sorrenti.
