Catalogue note

Original landscape, double-sided Love of Life Part II promotional flyer for Saturday 25 April 1992 at Kelsey Kerridge Sports Hall, Cambridge. A Certain Production / Fusion bill live P.A.s SL2 and Project X, MC Mikey B and DJs including DJ Lime, Slipmatt and Seduction. Advance admission £18 inc booking fee, entry stops 11pm; expansive promised 3-laser, 20kW sound and staged spectacles. The unusually significant reverse reproduces A.D. Productions' colour-coded stage/lighting/laser layout ('#0511FU'), naming designers Daz & Adam; front credits A. Larwood. Northwestern's British Rave Flyers Collection independently records the event and date; TMR already holds a distinct 17 April 1993 Love of Life flyer from the same venue.

Advertised programme: P.A.s: SL2; PROJECT X. MC: MIKEY B. DJs: DYNAMICS; IAN STRATTON; BEAMISH; DJ LIME; SEDUCTION; FACE; SLIPMATT. The flyer also advertises a SURPRISE SPECIAL GUEST without identifying that person. Advertised billing only; performances have not been independently established.

Graphic-design significance: Front combines teal granular border, coral/cream ground, decorative symmetrical hanging-mask or head motifs, vernacular red hand-rendered LOVE OF LIFE title, and dense utilitarian ticket/outlet data. Reverse depicts a labelled numbered ground plan with DJ tower, stage, grandstand, platform, lighting tower, cubes, suspension feature and laser/lighting trajectories coded in vivid red, green, blue and yellow. A.D. Production design 0511FU and named designers Daz & Adam preserve production-graphic authorship unusually well for event ephemera.

Historical context: The flyer promises three laser systems, a 20,000-watt 'turbo' sound system, projection and lighting spectacle, the Octopuss bouncy castle, 1,500 ravers and entertainers; these are promotional claims, not independently verified installed equipment, attendance or licensed capacity. Conditions specify no under-18s, searches, and last entry at 11pm. The Original Official Charts singles week 19–25 April 1992 has SL2's 'On A Ragga Tip' at No. 3; it climbed to No. 2 the next chart week. Northwestern University (McCormick Library, British Rave Flyers Collection MS187, Box 4 Folder 7 Item 8) lists a Love of Life Part II item for this precise date and venue; its listing does not establish that its paper shares these exact printed front/back variants. TMR-000695 documents a separate later Love of Life night at the same venue, 17 April 1993, also billing Beamish (identity/link unresolved). Northwestern's description labels the promoter unknown, while the present original actually credits 'Fusion / A Certain Production'; retain the source discrepancy without over-identifying legal promoter.

Production note: Multicolour commercial printing visible on both faces; precise printing technique, paper stock, weight and printing run unverified.

Condition note: Strong front colour and legibility. A clear original central vertical folding line passes through the reverse floor-plan diagram; further light creasing/handling pressure is visible. Reverse upper-left paper edge/corner has an irregular nick/area of paper loss, with additional top-right scuff/scratch, edge rub and light corner softening. Minor scattered superficial marks; neither printed face appears to have major text loss. Verso/backside correspondence and the paper's hidden structural condition cannot be independently measured from photographs.

Confidence / uncertainty: Physically verified: date, 1992, time, address, bill, original £18 inc fee, 11pm entry restriction, A. Larwood and Daz & Adam distinct graphic credits, A.D. Productions/Flipside Group copyright and production drawing 0511FU. Independently corroborated exact event/date by Northwestern, SL2 contemporaneous chart placing by Official Charts. 'A Certain Production' documented twice, proposed as a narrow new organisation. 'Fusion' wording is physically proven as this event/client but cannot safely be conflated with the existing 1994 'Fusion' rave organisation; no link asserted. Named billing does not prove sets occurred. Printed venue-plan approval is not evidence of external regulatory sign-off. 'A. Larwood', 'Daz' and 'Adam' not linked to speculative named artist authorities. Technical plan measurements have no stated units.
