Event
Dreamscape / Ravenation — Friday 5 March 1999 at Bagleys Film Studios
Promoter
ESP Promotions / Dreamscape, in advertised collaboration with RAVENATION. Interior describes Ravenation as London's biggest old-skool promoter and claims their first joint promoter event and Dreamscape's first London show; these are claims, not independently verified ranking or firsts.
Venue
Bagleys Film Studios (Bagley's), King's Cross
Location
York Way, King's Cross, London N1, England
Advertised hours
Friday 5 March 1999, 10pm to Saturday 6 March 1999, 6am; individual scheduled artist slots printed per arena.
Original admission / price
£14 + booking fee non-members; £12 no booking fee members. 'TICKETS GO ON SALE 05.02.99' printed. Interior says limited on-the-door tickets priced £20.00; no assumed universal admission beyond printed tiers.
Designer
Uncredited for this exact 1999 flyer. Jim Tang of The Adrenalin Corporation described historical Dreamscape graphic work in a 2014 interview, but that broad relationship does not verify their authorship of this particular post-1991 programme.
Format
Single folding four-panel colour rave event programme: photographed exterior front, exterior back, and opened landscape two-page interior programme. Portrait when closed, landscape spread when open. One folded physical paper object; the third photograph shows the inside spread, not a separate flyer.
Dimensions
Not measured. Exact open/closed dimensions unknown; image pixel sizes do not establish paper dimensions.
Orientation
Portrait closed; interior opens as landscape, with strong original vertical centre crease and panel fold.
Original / reproduction
High-confidence period original 1999 promotional copy based on time-specific price, retail and event date information plus independent specialist exact-event flyer archive. No verified printing chronology, reproduction history, physical paper forensic testing or copy provenance.
Edition / variant
Exact Friday 5 March 1999 Dreamscape/Ravenation Bagleys four-arena London fold-out, fiery woman/oval chrome Dreamscape front and blue mirrored face within four-arena interior; original exterior does not print event number '31'. Retrospective mix index uses 'Dreamscape 31' but not adopted as printed title or confirmed original edition number.
Condition
Good, provisionally from owner-supplied front/back/open-interior photographs; several visible fold and diagonal crease lines but printed text remains legible.
Completeness
One apparently complete original folded four-panel event flyer/programme; exterior cover, exterior back and fully opened two-panel interior all photographed. No missing original paper panel visible. Original admission ticket, membership card or audio cassette not included or evidenced.

Catalogue note

Original complete folded Dreamscape × Ravenation event flyer/programme for Friday 5 March 1999, 10pm–6am, Bagley's Film Studios, York Way, King's Cross, London. Front combines a digitally treated woman's face in orange-cloud light with a large futuristic metallic DREAMSCAPE emblem, ESP Promotions and Ravenation logos. The reverse advertises £14 plus booking fee for non-members, £12 fee-free members, 5 February ticket-sales date and extensive UK ticket/coach distribution. A vivid centre-spread advertises a four-arena timed programme—happy hardcore, drum & bass, Ravenation's 1990–95 oldskool and techno/trance—including Slipmatt, Dougal, Hixxy, DJ SS, Micky Finn, Randall, Nicky Blackmarket, Andy C, Skibadee and Mark E-G. Promoter claimed a first London event and first collaboration; independently corroborated exact event but the expansive first/11-year Dreamscape claims are not all verified and one conflicts with its 1991 launch. Valuable late-period companion to TMR's inaugural and early-1990s Dreamscape papers.

Advertised programme: ARENA 1 — HAPPY HARDCORE (DJs and slots as printed): BREEZE 10–11pm; VINYL GROOVER 11pm–12am; SEDUCTION 12–1am; HIXXY 1–2am; FORCE & STYLES 2–3am; VIBES 3–4am; SLIPMATT 4–5am; DOUGAL 5–6am. MCs: STORM 12–2am; CHARLIE B 2–4am; MAGIKA & STIXMAN 4–6am. ARENA 2 — DRUM & BASS: FLUID 10–11pm; DJ SS & MC WARREN G 11pm–12am; MICKY FINN 12–1am; RANDALL 1–2am; DARREN JAY 2–3am; SWIFT 3–4am; NICKY BLACKMARKET 4–5am; ANDY C 5–6am. MCs: MOOSE 12–2am; FEARLESS 2–4am; SKIBADEE 4–6am. ARENA 3 — VINTAGE OLD SKOOL FROM 1990 TO 1995, HOSTED BY RAVENATION: SQUIRRELL 10–11pm [printed spelling on enlarged image appears 'SQUIRRELL', compare canonical Squirrel/Squirrell without assuming]; CLARKEE 11pm–12am; MASTERVIBE 12–1:30am; RATPACK 1:30–3am; TOPBUZZ 3–4am; SWAN-E 4–5am; SLIPMATT 5–6am. MCs: 5IVE O 12–2am; MAN PARRIS 2–4am; FREESTYLE 4–6am. ARENA 4 — TECHNO & TRANCE: EPIC 10–11:30pm; RIBBS 11:30pm–1am; SHARKEY 1–2:30am; CLARKEE 2:30–4am; MARK E-G 4–5am; M-ZONE 5–6am. MCs printed without individual times: SHARKEY, JESTER, RIBBS.

Graphic-design significance: Sophisticated late-1990s digital airbrush/photo-composite flyer with soft-focus woman's face in orange light, chrome oval/wordmark, metallic sci-fi depth and multi-plane atmospheric blend. Fold-out's contrasting blue mirrored eye/skull/face, green violet and electric-blue billing, time-by-time four-arena chart, and luminous checker lights create a dramatic compact technological aesthetic. Transition from pioneering Dreamscape's early Adrenalin wireframe/futurism to late-1990s computer montage is valuable design-history evidence; no unverified exact-1999 studio credit ascribed.

Historical context: On the 1999 original Dreamscape/ESP describes its first ever London event, first teaming with another promoter and Ravenation as London’s largest old-skool promoter; these remain verbatim promotional assertions, not independently verified firsts or market rankings. Its inner text asserts 'DREAMSCAPE WILL BE 11 YEARS OLD THIS YEAR' (1999 implies 1988), conflicting with the verified first Dreamscape rave on 6 Dec 1991, while ESP Promotions has antecedents around 1988. Preserve original claim and discrepancy. First Dreamscape TMR-000968, Dreamscape II TMR-000969, and Dreamscape IV TMR-000972 provide historic primary archive comparison. Phatmedia indexes this exact Ravenation/Bagleys 5 March 1999 flyer and a distinct May 1999 ESP/Dreamscape/Ravenation/Labrynth event. A collector techno tracklist attributes music to 'Dreamscape 31 Ravenation Bagleys 5th March 1999', but recording authenticity and the event-number relationship are not proven by this object. Historic Bagley's multiroom use is independently documented by Camden Railway Heritage Trust and King's Cross site history.

Production note: Multicolour glossy-looking printed promotional sheet, front warm orange/pink/blue digital artwork, exterior back muted silver-peach with ticket contacts, inside cyan/purple/green four-arena chart; physical gloss/stock/print method unverified.

Condition note: Exterior front retains strong orange/pink clouds and chrome text but shows long diagonal white/crease stress from upper-centre area towards right edge, further smaller surface marks, lower-right and edge/corner rubbing/softening. Exterior reverse shows corresponding diagonal/light crease around top and edges, mild scuffs and light perimeter abrasion. Open interior has strong central vertical historical folding crease, further diagonal creases toward upper corners, light handling/edge wear and flattened-fold pressure, while dense timetable and small print are still legible. The apparent hard fold is part of folding structure and should not itself be described as damage; crease stress beyond intended fold is visible. Surface reflectivity, stock deterioration, repairs and exact measured size not inspected hands-on.

Confidence / uncertainty: Date/hours/venue and differential ticket prices physically clear. Original signed designer, paper measurements, print run and version unknown. Advertiser claims of being 'true originators' of multi-arena concept, first cross-promoter collaboration, first London event, 11-year Dreamscape age and all-ticket sell-out expectations require qualification, not endorsement. Original Ravenation spelling is one word. Each arena timetable retained separately within single event programme, not four separate dates. Original printed SQUIRRELL/SQUIRREL small-type reading requires verification against preservation master; corresponding Squirrel/Squirrell authorities are not merged. 'DJ SS & MC Warren G' is a linked billed pair, not the US rap artist Warren G; canonical existing MC Warren G reused. 'SWAN-E' physically transcribed and linked only to active Swann-E authority (not inactive Swan-E). 'VIBES' links DJ Vibes not dormant Vibes. 'RIBBS' and SHARKEY may be billed DJ and MC identities but no false merge to Quest MC Ribbs or other artists. Mark E-G print matches Mark EG's self-identified name. Later tracklist calls this Dreamscape 31, which does not appear on sheet. Future performer sets and capacity/sold-out claims not authenticated.
