Biography
Person.
Lesley White is a writer and magazine editor whose early career crossed several influential British publications. At The Face she worked as Intro editor, alongside the varied day-to-day responsibilities of a small magazine office. She subsequently worked for the newly launched British edition of Elle and became Tatler's features editor in 1987.
Her later writing has returned to the contrasting readerships and working cultures of the 1980s style press. In a 2025 first-person account for Tatler, she described the transition between The Face's music and street-style culture and the society magazine's fashion, portraiture and social reporting.
