Biography
Person.
Ian McCulloch is the singer and guitarist associated with Echo & the Bunnymen, formed in Liverpool in 1978 with Will Sergeant and Les Pattinson. The band's early albums Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here, Porcupine and Ocean Rain established a guitar-led sound drawing on post-punk and psychedelia, with McCulloch's vocals central to its identity.
Alongside a solo recording career, he returned to work with Sergeant in the re-formed Bunnymen. Later releases include Siberia, The Fountain and Meteorites, followed by the reworked songs and new material of The Stars, the Oceans & the Moon in 2018.
