Biography
Person.
Cathy Edwards was a fashion editor and stylist who helped shape Dazed & Confused and AnOther. She joined Dazed in 1996 while studying fashion design at Brighton, later becoming its fashion director from 2003 to 2007. She moved to the fashion-director role at AnOther in 2008.
Her collaborations brought photography, illustration, set design and styling into close conversation. Work with Sølve Sundsbø produced the scanned portrait subsequently used for Coldplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head, while projects with Shona Heath and Emma Cook extended fashion imagery into constructed environments and handmade objects. Colleagues also recalled her sustained support for younger editors and image-makers. Edwards died on 19 March 2015.
