Manumission’s World Series as serial publishing

The Detroit, Paris and Naples flyers belong to Manumission’s 1996 World Series. Read together, they show a recurring editorial conceit as well as event information and admission offers. Three surviving episodes make a useful comparison; they do not establish a complete season or an unprinted designer credit.

Manumission — The World Series: Detroit
01 · 29 July 1996

Detroit

Episode 7, dated 29 July 1996, names Blake Baxter and Stacey Pullen. The city theme therefore has a specific musical connection in the printed bill, alongside the recurring Miss Detroit presentation and admission offer.

Manumission — The World Series: Paris
02 · 12 August 1996

Paris

The 12 August fold-out applies the campaign’s city-based presentation to Paris. Its coupon and free-drink offer show how the designed object also functioned as a practical admission document.

Manumission — The World Series: Naples
03 · 26 August 1996

Naples

Episode 11, dated 26 August, uses Miss Napoli and food imagery within the same campaign. Comparing its folds, wording and offer with the other two helps reconstruct the publishing format without requiring every instalment to have identical significance.
