KIDS across territories and formats

A film reaches viewers through objects as well as screenings. These three versions of KIDS allow a direct comparison of territory, language, format and marketing. Their packaging records how distributors presented the film; it does not by itself establish how audiences responded.

A theatrical invitation

The German poster combines the film’s youth portrait imagery with local language, distributor information and critical framing. Its folded state belongs to its survival as cinema ephemera. Read the wording as part of this specific release context.

A contemporary home-video edition

The US widescreen, uncut LaserDisc places the film in a large-format home-video package close to its original release. Compare its presentation and credits with the theatrical poster, while keeping this edition’s stated format and cut distinct.

A later collection identity

The UK DVD presents KIDS within Momentum’s World Cinema Collection. The orange-and-black package adds a curatorial label to the same film. The comparison asks how such a label changes the invitation to watch, without claiming a change to the film itself.
