Catalogue note

2026 Titan Comics one-shot re-presenting Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett's Tank Girl story 'Summer Love Sensation', originally serialised in Deadline in 1990. This copy is the Cover C Jamie Hewlett virgin cardstock variant (#1C), preserved in a Collect Forever Soft Slab. Titan states that the issue gathers all four-and-a-half original episodes and adds previously unseen photographs of Jamie Hewlett riding a Raleigh Chopper on Worthing beach in summer 1990. The object connects TMR's existing remastered Tank Girl holdings to a contemporary anniversary-format reissue by the original creators.

Writer: Alan Martin

Artist: Jamie Hewlett

Cover: Jamie Hewlett

Edition: Cover C · Jamie Hewlett Virgin Cardstock Variant

Why this object matters

The Hewlett virgin-cover reissue reunites the Summer Love Sensation episodes and adds period photographic material, strengthening TMR’s Tank Girl documentation. It is a useful new editorial presentation of 1990 work, not that work’s original publication. The enclosure does not independently increase importance.

Evidence limits: Complete under the standing TMR rule. The one-shot remains sealed/encapsulated in its Collect Forever Soft Slab; front and rear are visible, while the interior has not been opened for inspection.
