Catalogue note

Original first-print John Tyler Christopher Negative Space Virgin edition of Wolverine #1, the 2024 relaunch of Logan's solo ongoing series and legacy issue #393. Christopher isolates Wolverine against a saturated yellow field in the visual language of his long-running Negative Space cover programme. The story 'In the Bones' begins Saladin Ahmed and Martín Cóccolo's run and introduces the mystery that develops into the Adamantine storyline. A confirmed second printing with a Patrick Gleason cover followed on 23 October 2024, making this copy bibliographically important as an original-release state before the issue entered reprint history.

Why this object matters

Christopher’s yellow-field Wolverine cover is a strong example of the held negative-space design programme attached to the Ahmed/Cóccolo relaunch. A later reprint distinguishes the first edition but does not establish 8.9-level historical importance.

Evidence limits: Complete under standing TMR accession rule. No missing issued component is reported; the comic remains enclosed in its Collect Forever Soft Slab, so interior completeness cannot be independently page-counted from the supplied photographs.
