Catalogue note

Original first-print Cover B of Nova: Centurion #1, the November 2025 launch of Jed MacKay and Alvaro Lopez's Richard Rider series spinning out of Marvel's post-Imperial cosmic status quo. Frank Miller's open-order variant places Nova in a bold, graphic action pose and forms part of Miller's late-career return to Marvel variant-cover work. The series ultimately ran six issues and was collected in August 2026. A proposed January 2026 second printing was solicited but subsequently listed as cancelled, making this copy the verified original release state without a confirmed later single-issue printing.

Writer: Jed MacKay

Artist: Alvaro Lopez; Mattia Iacono (colorist); Cory Petit (letterer)

Cover: Frank Miller

Edition: Cover B · Frank Miller Variant · original first printing

Why this object matters

Miller’s Nova cover contributes to the archive’s later-career artist group and the original issue documents the post-Imperial launch. A cancelled proposed reprint does not demonstrate rarity or exceptional importance; 7.5 better fits the current evidence.

Evidence limits: Complete under the standing TMR accession rule; no missing issued component is reported. Interior completeness is not independently page-counted because the comic remains enclosed in its Collect Forever Soft Slab.

Score and assessment method

Archive Importance: 7.5 / 10.

This is a curatorial judgement, not a measurement accurate to one tenth or a market valuation. Read the explanation and its evidence limits together.
