Catalogue note
Original first-print Frank Miller Cover C of Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell #1, the opening chapter of Charles Soule and Steve McNiven's three-part prestige series about an ageing Matt Murdock in a devastated future. Miller's return to Daredevil as cover artist gives the object unusual historical resonance because his 1980s work fundamentally reshaped the character. The first issue proved sufficiently durable to receive both second and third printings in 2025, while the completed series later won the 2025 Dragon Award for Best Comic Book / Graphic Novel. This copy preserves the initial publication state rather than either reprint.

Why this object matters
The Soule/McNiven opening with Miller’s cover is an outstanding modern Daredevil companion in TMR. Its reception and creator connections merit 8.5, but it is not equivalent to Miller’s original transformative run. Remove Gold without discounting the contemporary work.
Evidence limits: Complete under the standing TMR accession rule; no missing issued component is reported or visible. Interior page-by-page verification is not possible while the comic remains enclosed.
