Catalogue note
Early landscape-format issue of i-D from December 1982, still within the title's formative first thirteen landscape issues. Retrospectively titled The Out Already Issue, No. 10 uses a highly graphic red, yellow and green cover featuring then-i-D art editor Moira Bogue, photographed by Steve Johnston while squirting a water pistol at her winking eye. The physical credits name Terry Jones as publisher/editor, Bogue for art, Johnston for cover photography and Jones for cover design. i-D later selected the image for its own history of iconic covers, and the issue has also been used in discussion of alternative-magazine culture and the radical visual language through which early i-D documented street style, fashion and youth identity.
