Catalogue note
Original advance flyer for Orange's 'The Awakening' all-nighter on Saturday 26 June 1993. Reverse deliberately withholds venue—'LOCATION CONFIRMED... TO BE ANNOUNCED!!!!'—while announcing Rat Pack, Grooverider, Ray Keith, Gachet, Flex, DMS, Younghead, Tamsin, Chris Paul and Squirrel across Pure Hardcore and Happy House/Garage/Disco arenas, priced £10. Specialist chronology identifies Orange's 26 June 1993 event at the Astoria, allowing TMR to document the promotional sequence while preserving that the venue was not disclosed on this advance flyer.
Advertised programme: Rat Pack; Grooverider; Ray Keith; Gachet; Flex; DMS; Younghead; Tamsin; DMS (printed twice); Chris Paul; Squirrel; MC.MC. Arena 1 'Pure Hardcore'; Arena 2 'Happy House, Garage, and Disco'.
Graphic-design significance: Deliberately minimal front: oversized serif 'orange on tour' typography and a small pixel/raster-style anthropomorphic orange wearing sunglasses. Unlike signed DEANO and PEZ flyers, careful inspection finds no artist/designer signature, monogram or printed design credit on either face. Active external attribution research also produced no defensible artist identification, so artwork remains unattributed.
Historical context: Specialist rave chronology lists Orange on 26 June 1993 at the Astoria. The physical flyer predates venue reveal, stating 'LOCATION CONFIRMED... TO BE ANNOUNCED!!!!' and 'WATCH FOR MAIN FLYER'. Together these reconstruct the promotional sequence from anonymous-location teaser to subsequently publicised event. Orange's later history is already represented in TMR by Hippodrome material.
Production note: Black printing on orange stock, with simple raster/cartoon orange character on front; exact process/stock not established.
Condition note: Very Good appearance, ungraded. Light edge/corner handling and minor surface marks; two small historic pinholes/punctures along one side. Strong orange colour and complete legibility.
Confidence / uncertainty: Date is physically verified. Astoria venue is externally supported but intentionally not printed on this advance object, so that distinction is preserved. No artwork attribution after active signature/credit inspection and external research. Rat Pack retained as group credit. Existing Grooverider, Ray Keith and Dr S Gachet authorities reused.
