Event
ESP Promotions presents DREAMSCAPE — A New Warehouse Concept (inaugural event)
Promoter
ESP Promotions — original eSP logo prints EST 1988. Founding 1991 Dreamscape promoter Murray Beetson confirmed by official ESP history; original back describes prior ESP/Weekend World 'Heaven on Earth'. ESP founding in 1988 is distinct from Dreamscape's 1991 inaugural event.
Venue
Denbigh Leisure Park warehouse (later The Sanctuary)
Location
Denbigh Leisure Park, V7 Saxon Street, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. Original advertisement says five minutes from mainline railway station. 'The Sanctuary' is the LATER name of this same building, not contemporaneous branding.
Advertised hours
Friday 6 December 1991 9pm–7am Saturday 7 December; exactly ten advertised hours, emphatically NO LIVE PAs.
Original admission / price
£20 tickets in advance ONLY plus booking fee; no sales on the night. Credit-card bookings quote 5% fee. Nationwide 1991 official record shops and ticket agents printed. 18+ only; no alcohol or illegal substances; stringent searches; no admission after 1:30am.
Designer
The Adrenalin Corporation — Phatmedia's cataloguing of THIS exact Dec 1991 issue credits 'Layout & Typography The Adrenalin Corporation'. Studio founder Jim Tang confirms his company's original Dreamscape flyer work in a first-person 2014 DJ Mag interview. This does NOT securely identify the underlying female-portrait photographer/model or a sole individual illustrator.
Format
Single original two-sided owner-reported A4 landscape event poster/flyer: colour illustrated front with famous warm female face changing into green wireframe over receding luminous green virtual grid; multicolour typographic reverse with newly commissioned warehouse exterior photo, full 1991 DJ/MC bill, attractions, ticket rules and national agent network.
Dimensions
A4 nominal 210 × 297 mm, reported by owner's current intake convention; not actually measured. Surviving externally called 'A4 flyers' do not prove an alternative oversized original poster state.
Orientation
Landscape front and reverse; no foldout or detachable piece evidenced.
Original / reproduction
High-confidence original event-era 1991 period printed sheet from owner's photographs, full original venue/art/lineup/ticketing and independently preserved matching specialist flyers. Original print run, impression/plate-state, original source photograph, number surviving and acquisition provenance unverified. Later derivative merchandise reproductions are NOT evidence of original 1991 paper.
Edition / variant
Inaugural Dreamscape launch promotion for 6 December 1991 Denbigh warehouse with iconic woman/wireframe. Called Dreamscape 1 by official retrospective, but no numeral '1' on sheet. No proven early/later colour printing or first-impression matrix; don't invent scarcity or a separate poster variant.
Condition
Good to Very Good photographic appearance, with modest corner, edge and surface handling wear; ungraded.
Completeness
Apparently complete original A4-format double-sided single-sheet Dreamscape promotional paper, both iconic illustrated face and original new-warehouse reverse/1991 bill present in two owner photographs. No originally issued enclosure, ticket, voucher or detachable original component established as present or missing.

Catalogue note

Original owner-held A4 double-sided flyer/poster from the inaugural ESP Dreamscape on Friday 6 December 1991 (9pm–7am) at Denbigh Leisure Park, V7 Saxon Street, Milton Keynes, the warehouse that later became The Sanctuary. The famous warm-toned woman's portrait dissolving into a green wireframe perspective head/grid was recognised by the original organiser as a defining visual of 1990s rave. Original reverse preserves a photograph of the as-yet unrenamed warehouse, 11 DJ names including Ellis Dee, LTJ Bukem, Carl Cox, Clarkee, Swann-E and Top Buzz, two MCs including Patrick (Top Buzz's Mad P), no live PAs, £20 advance/fees, 50K system claims and nationwide ticket shops. Phatmedia identifies The Adrenalin Corporation as responsible for flyer layout/typography, independently contextualised by Jim Tang's direct testimony. First-event status confirmed by the promoter's own current historical account and specialist contemporary-flyer catalogues. Model and artist's original source image, actual attendance, print run, rare edition and monetary value not proven. No duplicate of later Dreamscape XI/XIV/20 TMR accessions.

Advertised programme: Printed DJs: ELLIS DEE; LTJ BUKEM; CARL COX; CLARKEE; SWAN'E; TOP BUZZ; DJ SY; PHANTASY; MASTER SAFE; DOUGAL; PICCI. Comperes: MC 'EZ'E VIBE' (typography uncertain); 'PATRICK' explicitly '(TOP BUZZ MC)', securely identifiable as the artist also known as MC Mad P from his first-person interview. Flyer explicitly declares 'Absolutely NO LIVE PA's on the night. Just 10 hours of pure Non-Stop Hardcore.' These are advertised names, not proof of individual performances.

Graphic-design significance: One of the most recognisable British rave-flyer images: warmly photographed female face becomes a computer-mesh head across an intense green perspective grid, combining human and virtual imagery as shorthand for early-1990s altered perception and technological futures. ESP eSP 1988 promotional identity and oversized white DREAMSCAPE typography. Its reverse documents the building's exterior BEFORE the Sanctuary era, with red headline, blue performer wedge, green attractions block and original regional tickets layout. Specialist Phatmedia attributes layout and typography to The Adrenalin Corporation; founder Jim Tang testifies about the company's Dreamscape designs. The official promoter's 2025 story calls this face-and-grid composition a defining early-rave image. Do not identify the photographed woman based on unverified celebrity speculation.

Historical context: Friday 6 December 1991 was the first Dreamscape event, following ESP's development since 1988 and its expansion through rural Milwaukees, plus the August 1991 'Heaven on Earth' ESP/Weekend World collaboration mentioned on the poster. Original promoter Murray Beetson found a warehouse at Denbigh Leisure Park V7 Saxon Street and developed it as 'A New Warehouse Concept'; after the launch and later events it became The Sanctuary, a seminal UK rave venue. Original official Dreamscape sources and independently indexed Phatmedia/Borosix flyer research corroborate the date and context. The DJ-only programme includes Ellis Dee, Bukem, Carl Cox, Clarkee, Swann-E, Top Buzz, Sy, Phantasy, Mastersafe and Dougal, plus Picci. Original Top Buzz MC Patrick is securely linked with Mad P through his first-person interview. The reverse advertises 50K F2 sound, laser/show systems, 1,000-car parking and 'Heaven on Earth' antecedent: promotional claims, not independent measurements. The contemporary venue has different retrospectively reported crowd figures: ESP now recalls 4,000 participants while Borosix cites a 3,000-person venue capacity; neither an audited gate or legal capacity. The founder is called Beetson by official ESP and DJ Mag, Beeston by Borosix; spelling discrepancy retained. Later Dreamscape XI, XIV and 20 items already held in TMR allow long-term chronology and institutional comparison.

Production note: Original colour/spot-colour paper front and multicolour reverse, photomontage/computer-wireframe-style image. Exact original printing process, paper type and source image not independently established.

Condition note: Original famous female/green-grid graphic survives vividly with tiny rubs/white specks and slight edge/corner softening; no large illustration loss or strongly broken full-length crease visible from images. Multicolour reverse, warehouse photo, small-print outlets, DJ names and price retain legibility, with minor lower-margin and corner wear and faint paper handling/creases. Exact back-verso stock ageing, pin/blutack traces, printing state, earlier restoration, and physical dimensions not verified in hand. Do not describe as Mint or professionally graded.

Confidence / uncertainty: Original date, 9pm–7am, ESP EST 1988, Denbigh A New Warehouse Concept title, £20 advance/fees, DJs/MCs and 'NO LIVE PAs' physically verified. First-event status independently corroborated by promoter's current first-person official archive, as are venue transition and public visual legacy; exact print and studio attribution specialist based. 'Dreamscape 1' is a retrospective designation, not an on-object edition number. Art/model identity unknown despite speculation; source Studio credit applies layout/typography only. Phantasy existing canonical PER with many linked records, not duplicate 'DJ Phantasy' authority. Swann-E existing canonical active alias, not inactive Swan-E. PICCI and MC EZ'E VIBE unresolved. Top Buzz MC Patrick linked to artist MC Mad P via primary interview; civil surname omitted as online sources conflict. 1991 attendance/capacity inconsistent in secondary/official accounts. No rare-survivor count, proved reprint inventory, certified measured dimensions or confirmed cash value.
