Event
ESP Promotions presents Dreamscape IV — Proof of the Pudding
Promoter
ESP Promotions ('EST. eSP 1988' is original); ESP's Dreamscape event brand already exists in TMR. Retrospective first-party history traces founding promoter Murray Beetson and venue transition. This original's back introduces 'ExtraSensory Perception' as ESP's expanded name; promotional brand copy is physically verified.
Venue
Denbigh Leisure Park warehouse (later known as The Sanctuary)
Location
Denbigh Leisure Park, V7 Saxon Street, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, exactly as the original cover prints. Map on reverse names the Dreamscape venue. Specialist databases may use retrospective Sanctuary branding; retain the 1992 printed site identity.
Advertised hours
Friday 29 May 1992, 8pm–7am Saturday 30 May; eleven advertised hours of non-stop dance, no live PAs. Artist set times not printed.
Original admission / price
£20.00 in advance ONLY, with 10% booking fee shown (£2 if assessed on £20 face price; £22 where this charge applies). The reverse says 'NOT ON THE NIGHT' and 'NO GUEST LIST AT ALL' attributed to licensing. Credit card booking details and a separate '+ 5%' fee appear lower right; exact fee calculation not separately confirmed. No admission after 1:30am; R.O.A.R., no alcohol/illegal substances, stringent searches and metal-detector entrance claims.
Designer
The Adrenalin Corporation — exact-event 'Flyer design' attribution given by Phatmedia for the original 29 May 1992 Dreamscape IV issue; Jim Tang's first-person 2014 DJ Mag history corroborates studio's original ESP/Dreamscape design work. Do not invent a particular individual artwork compositor.
Format
Original owner-reported A4 double-sided flyer/poster. Portrait printed front with ESP EST 1988, Dreamscape large striped white title crossed by red Roman IV, 'PROOF OF THE PUDDING', deep blue background and mirrored dark purple/orange pixelated side graphics with twin white starbursts. Landscape printed reverse on salmon-peach background: green/black Dreamscape IV masthead, map, eleven-DJ/2-MC bill, attributed Dreamscape III crowd photo, future ESP label/club/outdoor adverts, historical ticket shops and technical facilities.
Dimensions
A4 owner-reported standing intake format, nominal 210 × 297 mm; this particular paper is not physically measured. Same-event externally catalogued 'flyers' do not establish a distinct oversized poster run.
Orientation
Portrait colour front, landscape multicolour programme reverse; one double-sided paper sheet, no foldout or detachable panel evidenced.
Original / reproduction
High-confidence original dated period 1992 campaign, owner-held paper shown fully on two sides, event-era retail addresses, 1992 future announcements and minor age/handling wear, plus matching Phatmedia two-image archive. Individual printing-state authentication, exact manufacturing date, copy provenance, edition/reprint variants and print run are unknown.
Edition / variant
Precisely DREAMSCAPE IV (Roman numeral IV printed in red) for 29 May 1992, Proof of the Pudding, Denbigh Leisure Park. Fourth Dreamscape, distinct from first Dec 1991 Dreamscape/TMR-000968, 28 February 1992 Dreamscape II (submitted as session #95), and 10 April 1992 Dreamscape III (not identified as held TMR object). No supposed first-print status, alternative colourway or scarce poster edition established.
Condition
Good to Very Good apparent original paper condition; provisional photographic assessment, not professionally graded.
Completeness
One apparently complete original double-sided A4-format 1992 rave flyer/poster with full pixelated illustrated cover and full landscape reverse. All artist names, event photograph, ticketing and forthcoming programme notes are present. No originally attached insert, coupon, extra ticket or detachable panel evidenced.

Catalogue note

Original A4-format two-sided ESP Promotions Dreamscape IV: 'Proof of the Pudding', Friday 29 May 1992, 8pm–7am at Denbigh Leisure Park, V7 Saxon Street, Milton Keynes, fourth original Dreamscape event. The visually striking deep-blue graphic combines pixellated mirrored abstract figures, white striped DREAMSCAPE and red Roman IV, contrasting a coral/orange info-packed reverse advertising eleven DJs, including Clarkee, Ray Keith, Bryan Gee, DJ Hype, Tayla, Swann-E, Ellis Dee, Mastersafe, Bukem, Phantasy and Dougal, with MC Eze Vibe and MC Chalky White ('The Oddball Couple'). A rear crowd photograph is *explicitly credited* to Gary Clarke and labelled taken at DREAMSCAPE III, providing a direct 10 April 1992 historical link. The flyer advertises no live PAs, £20 advance plus booking, an ESP record label, intended independent club and proposed 31 July 1992 outdoor event. Phatmedia attributes THIS design to The Adrenalin Corporation. The original enriches TMR's inaugural Dreamscape 1, II and later original sequence, without asserting that planned businesses/events happened or that this is a rare first-print state. Condition appears Good–Very Good, Market Value unassessed.

Advertised programme: Printed DJs, 'Dreamscapes Finest': CLARKEE; RAY KEITH; BRYAN G; HYPE; TAYLA; SWAN'E; ELLIS D; MASTER SAFE; LTJ BUKEM; PHANTASY; DOUGAL. Canonical identities are Clarkee, Ray Keith, Bryan Gee, DJ Hype, Tayla, Swann-E, Ellis Dee, Mastersafe, LTJ Bukem, Phantasy and Dougal. MCs: 'MC EZ'E VIBE (ESP) & MC CHALKY WHITE (THE ODDBALL COUPLE)'. The wording is original advertised billing, not independent confirmation of all performers or specific MC appearances. The poster expressly promises an 11-hour 'PA FREE' night, i.e. no live acts.

Graphic-design significance: An early and distinct Adrenalin Corporation Dreamscape campaign: stark deep-blue colour field with mirrored pixellated orange/purple vertical structures enclosing the striped white Dreamscape wordmark, a large red IV and symmetric bright crossing starbursts. The huge white 'PROOF OF THE PUDDING' statement contrasts with the soft photographic faces of Dreamscape I and II and reflects 1992's digital/pixel/CRT-derived visual vernacular. The back alternates peach/coral, blue and green typography, an original schematic map, an excited audience photograph credited by name ('PICTURE TAKEN AT DREAMSCAPE III BY GARY CLARKE') and densely organised national retail/ticket lists. The original explicitly publicises a record label, future club venture and projected outdoor event, making it a developing ESP business-history document, not simply an event flyer.

Historical context: Dreamscape IV ran as the fourth named ESP warehouse rave on Friday 29 May 1992 at Denbigh Leisure Park, following inaugural 6 Dec 1991, Dreamscape II 28 Feb 1992 and Dreamscape III 10 Apr 1992, before venue redevelopment and later 'The Sanctuary' identity in late 1992. Phatmedia's original flyer archive credits The Adrenalin Corporation for this exact design, and the dated 1992 ESP chronology independently places the event in that sequence. The photo reproduced on reverse is explicitly labelled as taken at DREAMSCAPE III by GARY CLARKE, a valuable contemporary photographer credit directly connecting two event nights. Recorded original-format sets from Dreamscape IV are indexed for several DJs; an insightful 2025 Ray Keith set review discusses a first-hand listened-to historical tape but does not authenticate the whole roster or master provenance. 'LOOK OUT FOR' the ESP Record Label is announced with original printed mentions of DOUGAL/EVOLUTION, SWAN'E, MASTERSAFE and VIRTUAL REALITY, but the wording alone does not establish each as an issued record, a partnership, catalogue number or release date. ESP also announces intentions for an independent Milton Keynes club without a confirmed opening date due to licence underwriting and a huge projected 31 July 1992 open-air rave for 15,000+, none established as completed. Admission £20+10%, 5% card notice, technical security/rig claims and national agents evidence the commercial growth of national early-hardcore rave culture. Late-1992 venue transformation is independently described in MKFM's local retrospective and ESP's own history; its exact claims of attendance/capacity are not transferred to this night without evidence.

Production note: Printed colour graphics/photomontage-style pixelated design face, multicolour salmon/green/black/blue reverse with printed halftone crowd photograph. Process, artwork source, printer and paper stock/weight not established. The specifically credited Gary Clarke image is the rear event photograph, NOT attribution of whole flyer design.

Condition note: Original retains brilliant blue, orange and purple inks with no major loss, full borders and legible text. Mild upper/right paper corner bending/diagonal crease, slightly softened outer corners and superficial edge rubbing; tiny isolated pale/scuff specks across darker front and narrow printed borders. Rear peach/orange surface shows modest waviness, soft corners, light marginal/handling marks and small surface rubbing; photo and very small type remain legible. Some colour variations may arise from photograph lighting, not inherent staining. No severe long torn fold or missing panel obvious. Actual sheet dimension, paper ageing, tape/pin marks, hidden fibre repairs and exact grade require in-hand examination.

Confidence / uncertainty: Original physically verifies fourth/IV event title, date/year/hours, Denbigh address, 11 DJ names, MC Eze Vibe and MC Chalky White ('The Oddball Couple'), no live PAs, £20 +10% and separate card language, full original retail list, Dreamscape III photo credit Gary Clarke, label/club/outdoor plans and condition. Canonical TMR People aliases: printed BRYAN G to Bryan Gee; HYPE to DJ Hype; SWAN'E to Swann-E (not inactive Swan-E); ELLIS D to Ellis Dee; MASTER SAFE to Mastersafe; PHANTASY to active Phantasy, not dormant DJ Phantasy. MC Eze Vibe has an already proposed authority of same slug in preceding saved Dreamscape II accession; reuse, do not create a different artist by spelling. MC Chalky White is period printed name, not assumed a civil identity. Photographer Gary Clarke must NOT be automatically merged with DJ Clarkee (different historical person with superficially similar surnames). Exact venue 1992 Denbigh versus later Sanctuary identity preserved. The image author is not assumed to be the historical photographer. Future ESP record announcements and an intended 31 July event remain promises, not verified outcomes. No specific print quantity/rarity/market valuation established.
